As a growing organization with an entrepreneurial spirit, The Travel Collaborative offers challenging professional opportunities for independent travel agents. In addition, our independent agents and central administration frequently seek to fill staff positions.

INDEPENDENT TRAVEL AGENTS
Since its founding in 1985, The Travel Collaborative has developed an innovative and highly successful business model of experienced travel agents working independently while sharing information, expenses and strategies for the future. Over half of our members are former managers, with an average of 18 years of agent experience and 14 years of administrative experience. Our office is a state-of-the-art, architect-designed workspace.

In 1999, we joined the Tzell Travel Group. Based in New York, Tzell has annual sales approaching $1 billion and ranks among the 50 top travel agencies in the United States. This relationship has increased our industry clout without changing the culture of our agency.

We are continually interested in talking with talented, energetic agents who value their independence but seek to participate in a collaborative environment. Agent-members of The Travel Collaborative find the support they need to serve their clients and build their businesses. We offer independent agents:
  • Participation in volume-based incentive revenues
  • Travel information, consortium memberships, industry analyst services
  • Administrative and support staff
  • Accounting department
  • Telephone and visitor reception
  • Information/telecommunications technology and technical support (computer hardware, software, printers; Internet access; voice-mail and e-mail; FedEx Powership; database/mail programs; remote access)
  • The buying and negotiating power of membership in a $1 billion agency
  • Home office opportunities with remote access
